How this is scored

What the grade means

Each metric is compared to its industry benchmark, capped at 100%, then averaged into an overall score and letter grade. The orange marker on each bar is the target; a filled, highlighted bar means you meet or beat it.

Benchmarks are published industry averages, not a clinical or financial assessment. Treat the scorecard as a directional gut check that points you to the areas worth a closer look.

Benchmark scorecard FAQs

Where do these benchmarks come from?

Each benchmark is a published industry figure: 20 to 40 new patients a month to grow, a healthy case acceptance rate of 70% or more, an 85% hygiene reappointment target, a no-show rate under 5%, and ADA data on annual patient spending. Sources are noted next to each metric.

How is my score calculated?

For each metric we compare your number to the benchmark. For no-show rate, where lower is better, the comparison is inverted. We cap each metric at 100% of its benchmark, average them, and turn that into a letter grade so one strong area does not mask a weak one.

Is this a clinical or financial audit?

No. It is a fast, directional gut check against industry averages, not a substitute for proper practice analytics or advice from your accountant. Use it to spot the one or two areas worth a closer look.

What do I do about the gaps?

Most gaps trace back to either not enough new patients coming in, or not enough of the right ones converting and staying. That is exactly what we fix: marketing that brings in qualified new patients and front-desk coaching that turns calls into booked, returning patients.
