Patients decide whether they trust you before they ever call
By the time a new patient picks up the phone, they have already looked at your website, your Google Business Profile, and probably your Instagram. What they are looking for is simple: do these people seem kind, does the office look clean and modern, and would I feel comfortable here. Stock photography cannot answer any of that, and patients recognize it instantly. In a controlled test, replacing a stock image with a real photo lifted sign-ups by 35% with nothing else changed.
Video does even more of the work. Wyzowl's 2026 research found 89% of consumers say video quality affects how much they trust a brand, and 84% want to see more video from the brands they consider. In a peer-reviewed study of provider video biographies, 43% of participants said they would still book an appointment with a provider whose reviews were all negative, because a short video let them judge the person for themselves. A sixty-second introduction from the doctor is the closest thing to a first visit a patient can have before booking one.
